A deadlift for your coochie, Kegels.

Let's start off with something simple, something I think everyone with a vagina should know about; Kegels.
The amount of times I've been asked about the odd looking eggs in pretty colours is immeasurable. For reference most kegel balls are egg-shaped. It's something so simple and yet so few people know the importance of them, let alone how to pronounce the word. It's KEY-gul by the way. The whole concept is to tighten and control the muscles within your vaginal canal, providing more comfort and pleasure for yourself and your partner, and more importantly strengthening your pelvic muscles and helping with bladder and bowel control. How was that, a little too health class for you? To put it as simply as possible, it's like doing a deadlift for your coochie.
Now don't get too intimidated, you don't need to insert anything in order to do this exercise. Half the women reading this if not more have already done kegels without even realizing. Have you ever sneezed really hard and felt your cheeks squeeze with the rest of you? Are you a pothead who coughs probably too much? Have you done that shameful waddle from couch-to-toilet because you put off peeing for far too long? Congratulations, you've done kegels!
If you can clench your buttcheeks, you can do a kegel. I've heard of a few examples to picture it, my favourite comparison being an elevator. You want to make it move up and down by tightening your muscles and releasing them. The goal isn't just a simple squeeze and stop, there's a science to this. It's like any other exercise, you want to take your time and hold things, play with pressure and depth and make that elevator move. To do the exercise properly you shouldn't need to clench your cheeks or thighs, or hold your breath. Try to keep your body relaxed and focus specifically on the muscles you use to hold your pee. Pay attention to that squeeze, that lifting and dropping sensation. Once you're used to that try squeezing tighter at the top, rest for a few seconds, and then squeeze at the bottom. Next try squeezing up and down, to make the elevator move, it's on the first floor and needs to go to the top. Tighten the muscles at the bottom and practice moving that pressure up within yourself, holding it and moving it back down. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes so easy!
You can take it a step further by throwing kegel weights into the mix, always start small though, nobody likes a sore kitty. Most sex stores sell kegel balls with different levels of size and weight, you'd be surprised what you can hold in there when you're trying. You can buy them individually or (as I like to recommend) in a kit with different sizes, that way once you're comfortable you can try moving up in weight. I'll always say to start with something that doesn't have extra weights, your standard kegel ball will do, however it's entirely about your comfort and your body health. If you don't like weights or the balls then simply don't use them! If you enjoy the weight you're at and don't feel like increasing, don't, it's all up to you to decide.
Also just throwing this out there, thanks to the development of modern technology, you can now play games like flappy bird from the comfort of your own vagina! I know that sentence sounds insane, and it honestly kind of is, but stick with me here because this product is so incredibly cool. Relatively new to the market, and blowing the minds of all of us here at SensationO Moncton, is the Perifit Care Smart Kegel Exerciser! Try saying that three times fast. Now I am not joking about this product, you really can play flappy bird with it as well as a handful of other games. I could go on about its other benefits but this isn't sponsored, so you'll just have to do some googling! Or if you're local, come see any of us here in store to ask about it!
The best part about kegels is that they're so simple you can do them anywhere, at any time! It's an invisible exercise unless you're the type to make faces while you do it. Nobody can see your pelvic muscles contracting while you sip some $10 coffee on a public bus. Trust me, your body will thank you for it in the end and you may stop sneeze-peeing.
Thanks for reading,!
Untill next time on my little blog <3
